“The band leader, Will Van Horn, plays the pedal steel guitar. He is best known for his work with Khruangbin, a nationally acclaimed group based in Houston, whose sound blends mellow psychedelic grooves with an old-school surf guitar sound. Will’s pedal steel has been featured prominently in Khruangbin’s studio recordings and on stage. In his solo work, Will and his trio deliver a similar, though somewhat leaner sound, with the emphasis on Will’s dynamic compositions on his pedal steel.”
