I am unapologetically obsessed with maps. I enjoy taking a true map and turning it into an abstract piece full of beautiful designs, patterns, and vibrant colors using acrylic paint and modeling paste. It brings me so much joy to see people look at these maps and seek out where they live, where they grew up, and even where the heaviest parts of traffic are!
Maps have so many meanings to everyone. Some feel a true connection to where they grew up or have quickly developed pride for where they currently reside. Texas has been my most popular map, I think that has to do with our huge amount of Texas pride. Who can blame us?!
