Rick Castro has harbored an interest in art since childhood, initially studying photography in college but facing limited opportunities for artistic exploration. It wasn’t until later in life that he fully embraced his passion, focusing on oil painting over a decade ago. Inspired by travels “Out West,” he found his love for creating vibrant landscapes. Recently, he has immersed himself in plein-air painting, finding it a spiritually enriching experience influenced by the untamed beauty of nature. Through his art, Rick hopes to encourage viewers to appreciate the beauty that envelops us, urging them to pause and take in the world around them.
